Leeroy Jenkins! 10 Likely Settings and Rewards For The Next SWGOH Raid

The Sith Triumvirate raid debuted on March 1st 2018. Before that, the Tank Takedown and Rancor raids were released in 2016 (finding an exact date has been surprisingly challenging). More and more players are eagerly awaiting the next raid challenge, and theory crafting what that raid might look like. Here are what I believe may be the most likely settings, phases, and character rewards for the next Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes raid. One particular disclaimer, before you scroll down-this is on the assumption that Galactic Legends will not be useable in the next raid.

#10-The Battle of Crait/Hermit Luke Skywalker

The Battle of Crait was part of Episode 8: The Last Jedi, and a deciding factor in the revival of the Resistance/Rebellion. Opinions of the film aside, it would prove to be a unique raid location. The final phase would undoubtedly feature the newly minted Supreme Leader Kylo Ren, with his Command Shuttle and At-HH Walker supporting fire, however the first three phases are more difficult to theorize as to what they may look like.
The character reward of this raid could only be Hermit Luke Skywalker. A light side character with no faction affiliation-not even Jedi-he would likely prove to be an evasive taunting tank, with a death ability similar to that of Old Ben, but vastly more powerful. Resistance and First Order characters would naturally get a boost in this raid.

#9-The Supremecy, Snoke’s Throne Room/Supreme Leader Snoke

Another likely location would be the battles aboard the Supremacy. With Supreme Leader Snoke both as the final boss and the character reward, as well as the battle in the hangar, this is easily the better choice for an Episode 8 raid. Snoke as a final boss would likely have his Praetorian Guards acting similar to the droids in the Heroic AAT raid during phase 1. As for the playable character Snoke himself, he would optimally be a powerful First Order support, with a leader ability that would shake up the typical FO squads and make it stronger for offense in Territory Wars/Grand Arena. Similar to the Battle of Crait, Resistance and First Order characters would likely get a boost in this raid.

#8-The Battle of Naboo/Jedi Padawan Obi-Wan Kenobi

For those (either seriously or sarcastically) hoping the reward character would be that accursed Gungan, I may revel in crushing your hopes for a moment here.
The Battle of Naboo had a significant impact on the Star Wars universe; it was a significant precursor to the start of the Clone Wars, amongst other devious plots. During the course of this battle, you would likely be fighting fighting hordes of B1 battle droids on the fields in the first phase, with a defensive bonus as you side with the Gungans. The second phase would be the initial exchange as Darth Maul makes his epic double-bladed appearance. The third phase would see a return to the fields, with the B1 droids gaining a huge offensive boost, and at the end, your squads would fight Darth Maul in all his terrible fury.
As a reward, Padawan Obi-Wan would be a Galactic Republic Jedi attacker, with a significant synergy bonus if Qui-Gon is the leader (yes, this is me hoping to get a rework for QGJ and make him relevant again). Galactic Republic Jedi would get a boost, as well as specific droids (Like the B1 and the Droideka).

#7-Board the Malevolence, Rescue the Chancellor/Chancellor Palpatine

Eventually, ships will make their way into future raids. As CG is looking to make the neglected child of SWGOH more relevant, what better way than raid inclusion/significance?
The first phase would undoubtedly be ship-driven, battling your way through squadrons of vulture droids, hyena bombers and artillery to board the Silent Hand. The final phase, of course, would be squaring off with the dreaded Count Dooku and a pair of B2 battle droids, with a “helpless” Palpatine in the background, watching the battle.
Supreme Chancellor Palpatine would be a fragile Galactic Republic leader/support, with abilities likely the inverse of Nute Gunray’s Dubious Dealings. Galactic Republic, Clones, and Separatists would get special bonuses for this raid, with GR/Clones getting higher defense and Separatists getting higher offense. Plus, you could go Dooku vs Dooku!

#6-Execute Order 66/Darth Vader (Pre-Mustafar)

Every raid thus far has been from
The perspective of you and your squads fighting on the “good” side. But what if CG decided to take a darker path?
Order 66 would span 3 different worlds-Kashyyyk, Mygeeto, and Coruscant. You would face off against the likes of Grand Master Yoda and his Wookie friends, Ki-Adi-Mundi, and of course the entire Jedi Temple would take two phases. There would also be significant aoe damage coming from raid itself, as the Clone Wars raged all around while Order 66 was carried out. And no, before you get excited-you will not be entering the Youngling room. I doubt even CG would go THAT dark.
As for the reward character, the newly minted Darth Vader would have a Sith and attacker tag, but clone synergy and potentially a Galactic Republic rag as well, considering he was remaining loyal to it even in its dying breath. He would deal considerably more damage to Jedi, while also taking some damage or debuff upon himself, and would be more powerful with less allies on field.

#5-Kessel Run/Dryden Vos or Tobias Beckett

As mentioned before, it’s only a matter of time before ships are significant in a raid. While Solo: A Star Wars Story may not have been the biggest profit movie-wise, it still was (for some like myself) a thoroughly enjoyable non-Jedi view of the Star Wars universe. The Kessel Run was legendary before this film, and seeing it unfold had me on the edge of my seat.
The first two phases of this raid would start on Kessel, with your squads fighting guards as you attempt to escape from the depths of the mines (phase 1) and make it to the Falcon (phase 2). The second half of the raid would focus on ships; phase 3 would include the fight/run from the Star Destroyer and TIE Fighters, and the fourth phase would have your ships battle against the Summa-Verinoth in the Akkadese Maelstrom. Scoundrel and cargo ships would gain a massive bonus here, with Lando’s Falcon getting specific and more notable bonuses than any other ship.
The raid reward character could honestly go either way. Vos would be a Dark Side Scoundrel attacker/leader with a passive that weakens enemies as well as his allies, and perhaps with another unique that makes him stronger as allies perish, perhaps by his own other unique ability. Beckett would be the first Neutral character, a scoundrel that ramps up the Prepared mechanic inherent with the Solo characters already in the game, but not necessarily a powerful leader ability.

#4-Battle of Scarif/Galen Erso

The Battle of Scarif in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story is (in my not remotely humble opinion) criminally underrated. Additionally, it seems that CG picks raids that are separate from each other in terms of time and storyline-and Scarif provides a wonderful battleground for an epic raid.
The first phase would likely consist of the space battle, the second and third phases on the ground outside. Of course, the raid boss would be he-who-chokes-on-his-aspirations, Director Krennic. Similar to how General Grievous has his droids, Krennic would have his Death Troopers, with Shore/Stormtroopers and AOE artillery support from AT-AT walkers, TIE Reapers and TIE fighters. Rebels and Empire would gain huge offensive bonuses, but also suffer immense defensive debuffs and uniques from the raid itself. The enrage would simply be the Death Star firing, which would be an amazing animation.
As for a reward character, Galen Erso would be a support character, gain a Rebel and Rogue One tag, and pass buffs around similar to how Wat Tambor does, with Galen himself incapable of dealing damage and escaping if he has no allies-or if an allied Jyn Erso is defeated.

#3-The Battle of Exegol/Darth Sidious (Final Order)

The Rise of Skywalker concluded the 9-movie long saga, and it went out in a blaze of glory (interpret that as you will). It gave us the all-or-nothing Battle of Exegol, and this would be yet another prime example of a raid where ships play a significant role.
The first phase would have you battling above the planet, trying to destroy the navigation tower. The second phase would have you again in ships taking on squadrons of fighters, artillery from destroyers (and the enrage being a blast from their Axial Superlaser) all while trying to disable Allegiant General Enric Pryde’s Star destroyer. The third phase would be a fight against the Knights of Ren, and the fourth against Palpatine and his Sovereign Protectors.
The “final form” Darth Sidious you would unlock would be a Sith leader, whose abilities would improve with the variation of allies and enemies, and tons of Shock synergy.

#2-The Death Star 2/?

If any crazy theory is almost a certainty, it’s that there will be a Death Star raid. It encompasses every aspect of what players could want and expect, from novelty, to variation, and a perfect setting.
The Death Star 2 raid would have a phase 1 ship component, with the enrage obviously being a FOBSS (Fully Operational Battle Station Shot). The second phase would have you fighting on Endor to disable the shield generator, while the third would encompass a battle with the terrifying Darth Vader-with Merciless Massacre nonetheless-and the Emperor in the background, providing Vader with buffs on occasion, vaguely similar to how the AAT assists in phase 3 of the Tank Takedown. The fourth and final phase could either be another ship aspect(though that may be stretching it, as ships aren’t the greatest from an outside perspective), or a second battle with Vader and Palpatine now directly involved , but untouchable like Traya is in phase 4 of the Sith Triumvirate raid.
Rebels and Empire would obviously get the passive raid bonuses.
As for the reward character…where could this go? Perhaps this may be the first raid with a ship as a reward rather than a character. Maybe even so far as the Death Star as a “Capital ship” with its laser as the “ultimate”, sending out TIE fighters in a similar fashion as the Malevolence (and if they’re the only ship left they instantly die).

#1-if you’ve made it this far…

There. This is for the die hard Jar Jar fans that know he’s a Sith Lord, the Phantom Menace, and the ultimate architect that George Lucas meant him to be.

What raid/character reward do you think is the most likely from above? Like and comment down below, and until next time-
