Who Will the Next Galactic Legends Be?

Lord Vader is old news. Onto the next!

*WARNING: SPOILERS AHEAD*

With The Book of Boba Fett blowing away fans, every Galaxy of Heroes player is hoping to get some new characters added to the mix. From the appearances of all the trailers thus far, it will be heavily based around Boba rebuilding Jabba’s old enterprise, meaning scoundrels will be at the forefront of this series.

On the flip side, season 3 of The Mandalorian is supposed to drop sometime early in 2022. The last season left off with Din Djarin being put at odds with Bo-Katan Kryze over possession of the Darksaber. Considering that Capital Games often relies on new content from Disney, the logical conclusion is that a version of Boba Fett and Mandalore will become our next two Galactic Legends, supported by the lack of GL’s for the two respective (and expected) factions: Scoundrels and Mandalorians. Let’s delve into the possible requirements, as well as what they would be capable of.

Daimyo Boba Fett

Boba Fett will definitely be a challenging GL to unlock. His requirements will likely have both previous iterations of his character as well as Fennic Shand at Relic 8, if not Relic 9. Other highly likely requirements (that are in-game) could inclue Gammorean Guard, IG-88, Bossk, Mob Enforcer, Aurra Sing, Embo, Dengar, Tusken Shaman, and URoRRuR’R’R. The final 3-4 slots for requirements would likely be filled with new marquee characters that are dropped in the new series. Let’s hope we get Black Krrsantan!

Scoundrels hold a strange placing in terms of power level-all bounty hunters are scoundrels, but not all scoundrels are bounty hunters. The few actual scoundrel leaders prior to Dash Rendar were almost not worth noticing-including Beskar Mando. In a world where Galactic Legends are the utmost power level, you can only start measuring at the second-best.

Under Daimyo Boba, however, scoundrels will surge in their usefulness. Considering that the Gamorrean Guard is playing an actual role in the new series, the chances are good this character will get a rework similar to how Royal Guard did for Lord Vader. The kit for Daimyo Boba, however, will need to be divided between BH and scoundrels. Activating payouts will be essential, and considering how the show is going, he may be marked when the battle begins, taking damage with random allies having a chance to counter for him. He may also have a unique similar to General Anakin Skywalker, where when he loses all protection he goes into a bacta tank and regenerates.

The chances are also extremely good that Daimyo Boba will be the first Neutral character, and gives perks to scoundrels and BH regardless of their alignment. Considering Starkiller gains perks based on his squad’s alignment, this may be leaning towards the next Territory Battle released, where you can use both sides of your roster…

Mandalore

Most Star Wars fans will be eagerly watching as the third season of The Mandalorian releases. With the Darksaber in his rightful possession, Mando may end up playing the most important role of his creed-uniting all the clans.

There are presently only ten Mandalorians in game, and as a faction…they suck. Chances are, the final requirements to unlock him will likely be finished off by a Mando capital ship, and fleet to clean up that we encounter during the upcoming season. It was Bo-Karan’s mission and she clearly was amassing enough supplies to retake the planet, and this falls in line with unlocking requirements for previous GL’s.

Similarly to Daimyo Boba, Mandalore would also be a Neutral GL, to work well in the future neutral TB and pull from both the light and dark side of his faction. Thematically it shows him uniting a scattered and broken people, with a Beskar-inspired kit pumping and protecting his Mandalorian allies. Characters like The Armorer, Bo-Katan and other versions of Mando would be amazing for TB, while his kit would make LS Mandalorians better for defense and DS Mandalorians better for offense. His ultimate could be a Booming Voice effect for all Mandalorians, which would be devastating to say the least.

And there we have it! Since we don’t expect any movies to come out soon, and Disney is making a killing with their shows, these two titular characters will become the next additions to our galactic journey. Prepare yourself-if you thought Republic Offensive was a challenge, just wait until this neutral tb makes R7 the minimum requirement…

I said what I said.
